Letting Go
Live performance by Marilyn Arsem - 'Letting Go,' Saturday and Sunday, October 9th & 10th, from 10 am to 2 pm, in Peace Park, Kingston, NY, USA, as part of 0+ Festival.
Letting Go is a silent intimate action designed for the Peace Park in Kingston, NY, to be performed at the O+ Festival. The audience is invited to sit and watch quietly, or to participate if they choose. Using a long brush, Arsem will write, in water, on the flagstones of the path, of what she wants to let go in her life. She will then pause to watch the words completely fade away as the water evaporates. Taking the time to observe their disappearance could be considered a meditation. It is an opportunity to breathe, to relinquish what is no longer needed, and to contemplate the change that can happen after letting go.
10 am - 2 pm, both Saturday and Sunday, October 9th and 10th. (If it is not raining.)
Artists and musicians create and perform throughout Kingston, NY, in the two-day public event called the O+ Festival (pronounced O positive), in an exchange of a variety of services of the art of medicine in trade for the medicine of art.
